Month one, take two of Insanity Max 30 is officially complete!! I made it through! Woot woot!! I am ready for month two. I know Shaun T will be stepping it up. I know it will be harder. I know it will be a challenge, but I am ready!!

But first I am going to review weeks 3 and 4 of month one:

The schedule went a little something like this:

Monday - Cardio Challenge
Tuesday - Tabata Strength
Wednesday - Strength Intervals
Thursday - Rest

As I sat on my mat after I completed my last workout of month one all I could think was wow! When I started this program I had doubts that I would make it to day 30. Let's be honest, this isn't an easy program. I modified a lot, but I made it. I am so proud of myself. I'm ready to see what these next 30 days bring. I am not at my ultimate goal yet, but everyday I am working towards it. Every day I am getting stronger.

Insanity Max 30: Week 2 Review

Today is the beginning of week three of Insanity Max 30. That means it is time to review and reflect on week two. Overall I would rate it as one of the best weeks I have had in a long time. It feels so good to have my body feeling all around better thanks to the foods that I have been fueling myself with. This week included two meals out: Red Robin and Ravilia's. I planned ahead pretty well with Red Robin and opted for a chicken sandwich with a side salad instead of fries. Ravalia's, a little hometown restaurant, is not as easy to plan ahead with. Why? Because it is so good and the prices are super reasonable! With that being said it is always a challenge there. Their chicken alfredo pizza is literally to die for! Knowing that I would be cheating a lot during this meal I decided to add in an extra workout for one day of the week.

Here's to the recap of week 2!

Cardio Challenge - It ended up being an 11 AM workout instead of 6 AM, but my body needed some extra sleep! I made sure I got it in though!

I have given up many times in life before. I have quit over and over again. I am on a track to be the best me that I can be. That includes struggling, especially with those tricep dips that Shaun T makes me do! I'm getting better at them every time!

Guess what? I modify with Insanity Max 30. Guess what? It's okay! Shaun T incorporated a modifier in this program for a reason. I don't feel bad modifying as long as I am challenging myself! At the end of the day you must have tried your hardest. If you tried your hardest you will see progress over time. By the way I killed those burpees during the sweat interval workout! Woot woot!

PIZZA....It is so so yummy!! These English muffin pizza's are so quick and easy to make! A go to lunch for me paired with a fruit and veggie!!

Just a snapshot from my Saturday morning graduate Human Learning class. I knew class would be 5-6 hours so I planned ahead. Packed my water, shakeology, and green tea along with snacks and lunch!

Some days your mind likes to think that it can control you. After my graduate class I really just wanted to sleep, but I knew I needed to complete Tabata Power. After all it was already Saturday! I won on this day, not my mind and it felt pretty good.

This was Sunday. My cheat meal at Ravalia's had gone down the night before. Now it was time to double up like I promised myself I would. On Sunday afternoon Friday Fight went down as well as Plyo Fix from the 21 day fix program! This was no joke. I was feeling the soreness immediately, but hey that means it is working!

Every day I am getting stronger. Every day I am proving to myself that I can go a minute longer or that I can do an exercise three more times. My max out times are improving! I cannot wait to see my results come day 60!

Insanity Max 30: Week 1 Review

Originally I was on week 3 on this program the week of Christmas. I knew the two week span that I was away from my regular routine would be tough, but I really had no idea just how tough. My nutrition wasn't the best these weeks and I missed more workouts than I would have liked to. So when I returned home I made the decision to restart Insanity Max 30 from the beginning.

Shaun T is an amazing trainer. I have done his Rockin Body and Hip Hop Abs programs, as well as part of T25. He always delivers. What is awesome about Max 30 is that he uses the color coded containers in his meal plan that were introduced with the 21 day fix program. So I know if I follow the workout schedule and the meal plan I will see results.

Here is a recap of week 1, take 2:

Monday was Cardio Challenge. You would think after doing this workout 3 times already it would be easier, but it isn't. Shaun T always makes you push yourself. Although I felt sluggish during this workout due to all the sugar in my system from all those cookies I was loving the sweat afterwards!

Tuesday was Tabata Power. This means 20 seconds on and 10 seconds off. I know what you are thinking. That can't be bad at all right? But you would be wrong. Those 20 seconds do not go fast by any means!

With all the cold weather and wind chill advisories it was a soup and salad kind of week for dinner. Did you know that you can actually make your favorite soups clean?! This week I had both wedding soup and potato soup. Yummy!!!

Wednesday was sweat intervals. That is probably my favorite workout in month one. I feel on cloud 9 at the end of the 30 minutes! I drink my shakeology everyday. Yep that is right. Everyday. I love it and can't get enough of it. On this chilly day it was Oreo!! Sounds too good to be true right? But it's not!

By Thursday I was back to my routine with waking up at 6:00 AM. Thank goodness!!! I am that kind of person that needs to be in a routine. During today's tabata power I increased my maxout time by 3 minutes. Woot woot!! That's what I call progress.

I skipped Friday Fight on Friday because I knew I was going to have the opportunity to do a live workout with Autumn Calabrese, creator of the 21 day fix at our Beachbody event. But not to worry Friday Fight went down on Saturday and it was a toughy! Working out is better with a friend!

Despite being away for the weekend my nutrition was almost spot on during week 1. I had my cheat meal for dinner on Saturday while out with team Live Life Fit. I stuck to a grilled chicken sandwich and a side salad. Here is a look into my meal plan for week 2!
